Wilcox Roofing had humble beginnings as a one-man operation in the Spring of 1978. With
a used Chevy van and one 24 ft. wooden extension ladder, Bert Wilcox began the business
working as a sub-contractor doing new construction roofing. He soon built a reputation among
local builders as someone who cared intensely about the quality of his work. With that
reputation came greater demand for his services, which in turn meant hiring and training new
people, buying new trucks and better equipment, renting office and shop space, but never,
ever compromising quality. Over the years, our focus changed from new construction roofing
to the greater challenge of contracting primarily with homeowners in residential roof
replacement, which now accounts for over 90% of our business.
After twenty one years of one man doing all the of the estimating and overseeing, Wilcox
Roofing reorganized as a Limited Liability Company (L.L.C.) on July 1, 1999, and longtime
employee Keith Webb was brought into the business as a partner. Keith's abilities as a roofing
mechanic and coppersmith, combined with a talent for managing people, have provided a much-needed
lift for the company. His attention and concern for quality are without equal, and Wilcox Roofing
continues to provide the highest quality of roofing work in Monmouth County, with every valley and
every flashing detail receiving the expert attention needed to ensure a long-lasting, watertight
installation.
Now in our 25th year, our basic philosophy of providing "the highest quality of workmanship
at a fair price" is unchanged. If you are shopping for a cheap price, we're probably not the
